Few years ago, the Place de la République was a large intersection in the heart of Paris dedicated to cars. It changed in 2013. The renewal of the Place de la République was seen as an opportunity to re-establish the function of the public square at the level of the neighbourhood, Paris inner-city and the Greater Paris.
Pierre-Alain Trévelo, architect/city-planner and co-director of the TVK agency in charge of the project, and users accepted to share their point of view of that new urban space.
